BRAVE NEW YOU(TH) WORKSHOP – “NO HATE SPEECH E STORYTELLING”
Workshop of introduction to storytelling as instrument to fight the discriminations and the intolerances, presented by Francesco Arren Spacetime, artist, musician and actor who will keep us company from Rome!
The activity is preparatory and fundamental for who would like participate in the european project “𝘽𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙪(𝙩𝙝)” that is taking part in Portugal from 19 June to 2 June and promoted by the European network Youth for Exchange and Understanding International!
The 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 is completely free and for everyone! We collect forms to this number: 𝟬𝟬𝟯𝟵.𝟯𝟮𝟵.𝟯𝟵𝟯𝟯𝟭𝟭𝟭. Buffet included (Saturday at lunch).
Here the entire program of two days of formation:
FRIDAY
● What is storytelling?: An anthropological and logistic introduction about the argument; What was yesterday and what is now, how it links to narrative social and hate speech.
●The purpose of storytelling: The six pivotal points of storytelling.
○Preparatory exercises: start giving notions to write a story in a basic way.
SATURDAY
● The structures of storytelling: How many structures have been developing the storytelling?
○ Preparatory Exercises:We create our stories, following a specific narrative structure… are you sure this is your story?
● What is “Hate speech” and its analysis.
○ Preparatory exercises:We analyse closely some concrete examples of hate speech, and we share our experiences.
● decomposition of hate speech: we describe the reality of the area in which we live with a story.
● Explication of counter-narratives and of alternative narratives: we share our stories
● evaluation and debriefing
